Grief and Loss Counseling

Some of my most rewarding work has come from helping people grieve the loss of a loved one.  In my eight years as a Bereavement Counselor with Community Hospice, I companioned hundreds of clients through this difficult journey.

In my work with suicide survivors and those who have experienced a sudden death, I have gained expertise in combining trauma-informed therapies with compassionate person-center care.

People grieve in other ways too-an unresolved relationship, the loss of physical health, unmet hopes and dreams etc.  Helping people find solace, and renewed joy in their lives is gratifying work.

Grief-Related Professional Services

I have professional expertise in addition to counseling individuals.  I taught as an adjunct instructor (The Sage Colleges), presented at a national symposium (Children’s Grief Network, Boston, MA) and offered dozens of workshops and educational in-services to the local community.

Services Available:

  • Educational in-services and presentations on a wide range of topics.
  • Consultation and crisis response to community partners, schools and workplaces experiencing a death loss
  • Clinical Consultation
